| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the British and International Golf Greenkeepers Association (BIGGA) Golf Environment Competition, stating that "Brighouse Bay Golf Club...has scooped [the 2007] prize with one of the most holistic and deserving entries ever." States that "the list of projects at [the regional winner's] golf courses...ranges from heathland restoration, grassland management for skylark and butterflies, sustainable water use and conducting nature walks for the general public on the golf course." Also states that Ransomes Jacobsen, CourseCare, Scotts, and Syngenta were all sponsors of the 2006 competition. Concludes that "involvement with the BIGGA Environment Golf Competition is open to any commercial or not for profit organisation [organization] that is dedicated to environmental awareness and improvement." |
