States that "in terms of the buying option, there's [a]...cost advantage of outright ownership over the long haul...once the equipment is owned outright, selling it later may provide a direct cash flow, albeit small change on the dollar depending on condition and degree of obsolescence." Describes leasing, stating that it "provides an option that allows for affordable payments, as well as other benefits." States that leasing "gives the lessee the option to turn in old equipment after the lease period and either buy or lease new equipment because there have been changes in the technology or innovation in other equipment." Suggests that "with its low risk, the practice of leasing has become a very acceptable and effective form of financing." States that "as business grows and needs change, a lease can allow for adding or upgrading at any point during the lease term through add-on or master leases." Discusses leasing and tax deductions. Suggests that "leasing equipment without a purchase agreement is disadvantageous, because net worth is not allowed to build over time."
