Abstract/Contents:Presents a study conducted to "assess the ability of Emerald and several experimental fungicides to reduce dollar spot when applied preventively and in varying water carrier volumes." Details the materials and methods used in the study, stating that "fungicide treatments included a single rate of two experimental fungicides...and Emerald. All treatments were applied preventively in one of three water volumes (1.0, 2.5, or 4.0 gallons per 1000 ft2 [square feet])." Reports that "all fungicides applied prior to the symptom expression provided complete dollar spot suppression during the study until approximately 3 to 5 weeks after the final application." Results indicate that "there was no effect of water volume on the level of disease suppression with any of the fungicides tested on any rating date in the study." Concludes that "in general, all fungicides tested in this study provided acceptable levels of dollar spot control when applied on a preventive schedule, regardless of water application volume."
