| Abstract/Contents: | "The purpose of the study was to evaluate the efficacy of various fungicides for controlling brown patch (Rhizoctonia solani). Brown patch developed rapidly within the study site and disease activity was high during the month of July. During the peak period of disease activity (21 July), no fungicide treatment provided complete control of brown patch. Excellent to good control on most rating dates, however, was provided by SP102000014883 (all rates), Tartan (1.0 and 2.0 fl oz), Insignia, CL-EXP-10, Endorse, Spectro 90, Headway, Manicure Ultra (both rates and timings), Heritage TL, Compass, and Heritage, Insignia, or Compass tank mixed with Revolution. Differences in quality observed among treatments during the study generally correlated with percent brown patch." |
