Abstract/Contents:Presents a study conducted to "assess the impact of various wetting agents when applied prior to or with various fungicides commonly used to suppress take-all patch." Details the materials and methods used in the study, stating that "a natural infestation of take-all patch was observed at the study site beginning in the summer of 2005 and low levels of the disease were observed at the study site when treatments were initiated on 6 June [2006]." Reports that "take-all patch was present in low levels when the study was initiated...Take-all patch subsided in late [July 2006] and early [August 2006] and symptoms were observed only in low levels on the final rating date." Also reports that "few differences in creeping bentgrass quality were observed on any rating date during the study period. Differences in quality generally were observed due to a decrease in color and quality and an increase in injury within plots treated with Cascade Plus followed 7 days later with Cascase Plus + Headway." Concludes that "future research should be conducted under high disease pressure situations to determine if the use of wetting agents can improve the suppression of take-all patch affored by commonly used fungicides."
