Abstract/Contents: | Profiles the pesticide Meridian, stating that "[it] is being primarily sold for turf insect management, but the label is being amended in order to list more ornamental plant pests." Compares Meridian to Merit, stating that "Meridian appears to affect most of the same kinds of insects that Merit does, but there is some evidence that it may also affect catepillars, something that Merit is poor at doing." Discusses the control of turf ants with Meridian. States that "on courses that only have ant mounds as a problem around the margins of their greens or tees, a Meridian application on the greens and tees AS WELL AS a border 20 to 30 feet out would likely do the trick." |
