Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the potential effects of long-term weather forecasts, suggesting that "weather forecasters are doing much more harm than good in [the golf] industry." States that "people live their lives by the weather and make plans according to the dispatcher's long-term guess" and that this may cause golfers to become hesitant to make plans ahead of time. Also suggests that "maybe if all outdoor industries...banded together and educated the forecasters as to the economic damage they are creating [the outdoor industries] could change the system." |
