| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to examine "the response of annual bluegrass (AB) and creeping bentgrass (CB) to several PGRs [plant growth regulators] applied sequentially over the growing season." Details the methods and materials used in the study, stating that "the PGRs, PRIMO MAXX, TRIMMIT, and CUTLESS were applied to separate stands of AB and CB beginning April 28, 2005." States that "TRIMMIT and CUTLESS applied at the same rate resulted in similar responses between AB and CB." Mentions that "the herbicidal effect of TRIMMIT and CUTLESS on AB during warmer temperatures marks a period AB infestation may be reduced in CB stands." Concludes that "because AB and CB responded similarly to PRIMO, PRIMO would be an excellent PGR choice for maintaining even playing surfaces in spring at application rates of 0.15 and 0.25 oz[ounces]/M [1,000 square feet]." |
