Abstract/Contents:Profiles several ornamental and turfgrass insects, and their status in Illinois in 2005. Mentions the elm flea weevil, suggesting to "control the flea weevil adults with a spray of acephate (Orthene) imidacloprid (Merit), bifenthrin (Talstar), or carbaryl (Sevin)." States that "control recommendations are to spray the cottony maple scale during the winter with a dormant oil spray, but do not apply it to sugar or Japanese maple which is phytotoxic to these maples."
