Abstract/Contents: | Responds to an article in Turf & Recreation regarding dog waste on turfgrass. Suggests that "increasing the height of turfgrass will severely reduce the problem of turfgrass burn (physiological drought) due to canine urine." Also suggests that "maintaining a higher height of cut is a practice that yields many benefits in turfgrass management, including less weed invasion, less drought, better colour [color], and less disease as well as...it significantly reduces the effect of dog urination." |
