Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the earth movement undertaken by the Kalamazoo Country Club (KCC) in Kalamazoo, Michigan, following the "installation of a new steel plate retaining wall between [KCC] and White Lakes", and the environmental considerations observed. States that "to generate the volume of fill needed...a substantial amount of the [adjacent] hillside was impacted both to maintain the natural contour and collect the needed soil." Mentions the KCC's membership in the Michigan Turfgrass Environmental Stewardship Program (MTESP). |
