Abstract/Contents: | Suggests that turfgrass professionals "must be proactive in the environmental arena in order to prevent future bills targeted at [the] industry." States that "Best Management Practices (BMPs), pesticide labeling and just plain common sense tell [lawncare companies] not to apply fertilizers to sidewalks and roads" and suggests that the industry take corrective action against such practices. Also suggests working together with those who oppose the lawncare industry through communication and education. States that letting clients know that the company is environmentally friendly could be a marketing opportunity for lawncare operators. |
