Abstract/Contents: | Discusses potential problems for the landscaping industry concerning an immigration bill, stating that "the current text would set guest-worker cap [lower]... and would make the program 'much more expensive to use.'" Offers suggestions from the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET), including to urge legislations to "maintain the integrity of the current h-2b program; permanently extend the current repear-worker exemption; increase the cap and a include a market-based regulator; and provide appropriate resources for H-2b processing at the departments of Lavor, Homeland Security, and State." |
