Abstract/Contents:"Orchardgrass yields were reduced more by the inadequacy of applications of NH4NO3 only, than were tall fescue or Kentucky bluegrass. Percentage of K in plant tissue decreased where NH4NO3 was the only fertilizer applied. Orchardgrass showed the greatest and Kentucky bluegrass the least response to differences in K. In P content and responsiveness to P availability, the species ranked: orchardgrass > tall fescue > Kentucky bluegrass. Plots receiving ony NH4NO3 had higher percentages of crude protein. Tall fescue generally had the lowest percentage of crude protein."
