| Abstract/Contents: | Describes the changes made to the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) in 2004, stating that "the structural change saw committees formed based on key functions. Projects are then delegated to the appropriate committee and recommendations go back to the Board of Directors for final approval, financial support and implementation." States that "this approach has allowed for staff support of committee activities, has allowed the involvement of more people in the business of the association and reduced the time required for board meetings." Discusses the priorities the committees will be focusing their attention on, including "water quality and water conservation, nutrient management for golf courses, the impact of global environmental change on golf course management and the use of alternative fuels." States that "the further development of the Accreditation Program and the development of criteria to approve non-CGSA programs for continuing education credits are two of the priority issues for the Professional Development and Research Committee." |
