| Abstract/Contents: | "Highly significant differences were found in the effects of variable rates of nitrogen, rates of potassium, and spacing of rescue on survival of stands of clover as determined by counting the numbers of live stolons per meter line in spring and fall The change in numbers between seasons was less with the potassium treatments. The intermediate stand of rescue, or 12'' spacing, produced higher yields of forage and forage of more desirable composition than the thinner or thicker stands. The medium rate of nitrogen and high rate of potassium treatments were the most favorable for survival of clover in the association." |
