Abstract/Contents: | Discusses pesticide use on golf courses, stating that "the USGA [United States Golf Association] spends millions of dollars on pesticide research as well [as] alternative methods to golf course care." Suggests that "golfers needs to change their attitude about what makes a golf course attrative...golf courses should cover much of their land with native grasses and leave them in a natural, uncut state...Golfers need to understand that every inch of a golf course's grass needn't be mowed down to its shortest possible length so they can find their drive that sliced over two fairways." |
