| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted on Tifhi 1 bahiagrass "developed at the Georgia Coastal Plains Exp. [Experiment] Sta. [Station], Tifton, in cooperation with the Crops Research Division, ARS [Agricultural Research Service], USDA [United States Department of Agriculture]." Reports that "Tifhi 1 has producted significantly more dry matter in these clipping tests than the commecial Pensacoloa bahiagrass check." Concludes that "plantings made in March should produce 300 pounds of seed per acre the first year...only the first generation seed of Tifhi 1 should be planted." |
