| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted "to evaluate the effects of various commercially available and experimental soil surfactants for improving creeping bentgrass performance and management of soil hydrophobicity on a sand-based rootzone." Describes the experimental procedures, explaining that "this field experiment was conducted...on a mature eight year-old creeping bentgrass 'Pennlinks' research putting green being grown on a sand-based rootzone and an adjacent Purdue University golf course practice green." Reports that "significant differences in visual appearance or turfgrass quality (TQ) were observed for the various soil surfactants tested with values ranging from 5.5 to 9.0...Two products, Revolution (ACA 1820) and ACA 2634 all ranked in the highest statistical category for TQ as well as the untreated control." |
