Abstract/Contents:Presents an experiment conducted to determine crop coefficient (Kc) values for turfgrass. Details the methods and materials used in the study, stating that "water use rates for turfs were determined from gravimetric weight changes using microlysimeters adpated from white 7.6 litre [liter] nursery pails, each having a surface area of 324 cm2 [square centimeters] with a 20 cm depth." Reports that "a single crop coefficient cannot be assigned for a 'turfgrass crop' under desert conditions. Crop coefficient (Kc) values were found to be different for perennial ryegrass...and bermudagrass."
