Abstract/Contents:Profiles Lancelin Golf Course in Lancelin, Western Australia. States that "Lancelin is an isolated community and with a membership of about 36 players, financial resources are limited so the maintenance budget is almost nonexistent and the sand greens remain. Synthetic grass tees were recently installed and the fairways continue to be mowed by volunteer members who have worked tirelessly with the aim of 'making the course the very best they could.'" Describes the course, stating that "the length of the course for a par of 72 is short at 5778 m [meters] and the course has been rated a 68." Concludes that "there is no doubt that greens and bunkering are at the heart of great golf courses and Lancelin lacks these luxuries, but water is available and given time and a little financial assistance they might in time eventuate."
