Abstract/Contents: | "All 6 grasses responded to 3 rates of 10-10-10 fertilizer with increases in yields and uptake of plant nutrients in the first 2 of 4 cuttings. Interactions indicated that orchardgrass and Kentucky bluegrass were more responsive to fertilization in terms of yield. Kentucky bluegrass was lower yielding early each season, but superior thereafter. Nitrogen and potassium removal by the harvested grasses exceeded that applied annually as 10-10-10. Severe soil mining of potassium was indicated." |
