Explains that as membership and amount of play on the course increased, "problems associated with heavy traffic and the demand for lower heights of cut became more and more obvious and were more that mere changes in maintenance practices could overcome." Describes the process of developing a renovation plan, synthesizing funding, gaining membership approval, and implementing the approved plan. Details the renovations made, including "remodelling all of [the] existing bunkers, adding several new bunkers, adding several new tees, constructing numerous mounds along fairways and green sites to control errant shots and rebuilding several greens to correct drainage problems and several slopes." |
