Abstract/Contents:Presents a study conducted "to evaluate commerical and experimental varieties of turf-type tall fescue under high maintenance conditions in central Indiana." Explains that "turf-type tall fescue has many attributes such as very good drought tolerance, very good heat tolerance, moderate cold tolerance, and good wear tolerance." Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "plots are maintained under a high maintenance regime, typical of a home lawn. The mowing height is 2 inches, mowed twice per week." Reports that "there are no statistical differences in average visual quality among the top 53 cultivars [used in the study]."
