Explains that "a technique was...developed to quantify turfgrass cover using a digital camera and a computer software program (SigmaScan Pro, Systat Software Inc., Richmond, [California]). The method termed digital image analysis (DIA) was refined by researchers at the university of Arkansas...for use in turfgrass research." Details the use of SigmaScan in turfgrass research and mentions the use of DIA to quantify zoysiagrass coverage during establishment; creeping bentgras divot recovery; zoysiagrass winter survival; Rhizoctonia large patch severity; and dollar spot severity. |
