| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to determine the effectiveness of MON44951 in controlling Poa trivialis during creeping bentgrass seeding. Suggests that "understanding limitations in seeding before or after application of MON 44951 is required to maximize seeding success." Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that it was a "randomized complete block...designed as a 3 x 7 factorial." Reports that "MON 44951 caused no phytotoxicity to the Penncross creeping bentgrass when applied between 3 WBS and 1 WAE... MON 44951 applied at 2, 3, and 4 WAE caused visible phytotoxicity, but this lasted for two weeks or less...MON 44951 applied at 0.25 lbs [pounds] ai [active ingredient]/A [acre] was the safest applications and only applications at 0 WBS, 1, 2, or 3 WAE reduced creeping bentgrass cover measured on 28 [October]...MON 44951 at 0.50 and 1.0 lbs ai/A reduced creeping bentgrass cover measured on 28 [October] regardless of the application date." |
