States that "mefluidide (Embark) is a plant growth regulator that suppresses seedhead formation of a number of cool season grasses, including Poa annua." Suggests that "the recommended rate of mefluidide, 0.125 pounds ai/acre or 8 ounces/acre of the 2-S formulation, will give excellent seedhead suppression." Reports that "at Ohio State, [researchers] have found the 0.06 pounds ai to 0.125 pounds ai/acre (4 to 8 ounces/acre of 2-S formulation) of mefluidide to be the best range for fairway applications." Explains that "a general rule of thumb has been to apply mefluidide at spring greenup" and that "if the seedhead is forming, a mefluidide application should be made." |
