| Abstract/Contents: | States that "when the mole cricket found its way to the United States, it found a paradise: plenty of new turf to feed on and almost none of its natural enemies to deter it." Reports that some potential controls have been discovered, including the larra bicolor wasp, neoaplectana carpocapsae nematode, bombardier beetles, and the tachinid parasite fly. States that researchers "are confident that the mole cricket can be reduced from a major pest to a minor one through the use of one or more of these, or some yet to be discovered, biological controls." |
