Abstract/Contents: | Discusses weather conditions in the Southeastern United States in August 2007. Explains that high temperatures has "made for great weather for southern chinch bugs in St. Augustinegrass, but it has really created some challenged with other pests like white grubs, mole crickets and fire ants. The extreme conditions have made it difficult to assess the populations, the grass is less tolerant to their feeding, and the heat and drought made control more difficult." |
