| Abstract/Contents: | "Two experiments were established on Tifway bermudagrass that was severely infected with G. graminis. One was at Walnut Creek Country Club (WCCC) in Goldsboro, NC and the other was at Shoal Creek Country Club (SCCC) in Al. Both experiments were established in the fall of 1986 with the first treatment at WCCC in Sept and the first treatment at SCCC in Oct. The treatments at WCCC were applied with a Spray Hawk at an equivalent of 5 gal water per 1000 feet square, while at SCCC they were applied with a CO2 packpack sprayer in an equivalent of 2.5 gal of water per 1000 feet square. Treatments were arranged in a randomized complete block design with four replications. Plots were 20 x 20 ft. Rainfall was normal with temperature above normal for the winter. Disease severity was rated in Apr, 1987. Results varied at each location. Banner, Tersan 1991, and Rubigan at 1 oz gave the best results at WCCC, while Rubigan at 1.5 oz and Cleary 3336 gave the best results at SCCC. No phytotoxicity was observed." |
