Describes the renovation plans, which included the restoration of the back "9", the installation of a computer controlled irrigation system, and the building of a maintenance facility. Mentions construction problems, including drainage that "in some cases lasted for days", "redesign of the main drainage system at a considerably [high] cost" , and the removal of "a very old, leaking feul tank and all of the surrounding contaminated soil" during the demolition of a maintenance shop. Briefly mentions the design of the course, stating that the fairways are "wide enough for the high handicap player to keep the ball in play and offer a challenge to the lower handicap player with grading differentials and proper bunker placement." |
