Abstract/Contents: | Discusses number of auxillary agronomic services that the lawn service industry could offer to the public. These include: dethatching, liming, aerification-cultivation, renovation, mowing, growth inhibitor application, sod installation, irrigation installation and maintenance, mower sales and repair, interior and exterior landscaping, mulching of ornamental beds, application of anti-transpirant sprays, general tree and shrub care, sales of related retail products and stump removal. The article also mentions solutions to thatch buildup and includes a table on thatch buildup over a five year period for various Kentucky bluegrass varieties. |
