States that he "frankly confessed that what he had learned in the 1928 Detroit [Michigan] convention of the National Greenkeepers' association concerning the use of arsenate of lead had saved his club and a considerable sum of money and what was more that it had been invaluable to him in eradicating worms from the putting surface, approaches to the greens, and from the fairway."
