| Abstract/Contents: | Insecticide tests for the control of Blissus insularis Barber on St. Augustinegrass (Stenotaphrum secundatum) were conducted in Florida in 1971. Akton (O-(2-chloro-1-(2,5- dichlorophenyl)vinyl) O,O-diethyl phosphorothioate), propyl thiopyrophosphate, diazinon; Dursban (chlorpyrifos), Dyfonate, ethion and dichlofenthion (Nemacide) gave the best control. All were in emulsion sprays except Dyfonate, which was in granular form. |
