Abstract/Contents:Discusses golf green sustainability. States that "the impression often given with sustainability is that the process happens overnight with success being dependent on a rapid extreme change from one end of the scale to the other. This is not correct. The process is invariably gradual which allows the fine grass component to spread rather than survive in isolation and permit playing quality to be maintained whilst going through the process." Highlights possible modifications that may be made to maintenance programs to increase sustainability.
