| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to "evaluate the relative efficacy and turf safety confidential fungicides against dollar spot compared to commonly used and commercially available products." Explains that the treatment area "was maintained as a bentgrass fairawy and mowed four times per week to a height of 0.5 in [inches]. All treatments were applied with a CO2 pressurized (35 psi [pounds per square inch]) sprayer equipped with a flat-fan nozzle, and calibrated to deliver 2.0 gal [gallon] water per 1000 ft2 [square feet]." Reports that "despite an increase in percent dollar spot within the untreated control plots...all plots treated with fungicide continued to provide near complete control. On the final rating date, plots treated with all fungicides (5 weeks after last treatment) continued to exhibit only trace numbers of infection centers per plot and resulted in a percent rating of zero for all treatments." Concludes that "all treatments provided near complete control throughout the study and no negative effects or injury were observed from any treatment." |
