| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to "assess the ability of various commercially available and confidential fungicides developed by Syngenta to reduce dollar spot when applied preventively." Explains that "percent plot area affected by Sclerotinia homoeocarpa was visually rated on a 0 to 100 scale where 0 = entire plot void of dollar spot and 100 = entire plot area covered with dollar spot symptoms. Fungicide residual was assessed on a 0 to 5 scale in which 0 = no fungicide residual could be found on tissue and 5 = entire leaves thoroughly coated with fungicide." Reports that "higher rate of Daconil provided greater fungicide residual immediately following application and also for a longer period...At no time did fungicide residue on creeping bentgrass result in a decrease in quality or turf appearance." Concludes that "no differences in disease suppression were observed among any treatment." |
