Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to "evaluate the ability of Actinovate and Actinovate plus a wetting agent (Revolution) or fungicide (Daconil Ultrex) to control dollar spot on a creeping bentgrass and annual bluegrass putting green when applied on a curative basis." Explains that "treatments with ratings exceeding 0.5% plot area blighted by S. homoecarpa subjectively were considered to be unacceptable or at the threshold for re-treatment of a golf course fairway." Reports that "two weeks after the initial treatment (WAT), no differences in the percent dollar spot were observed among any treatment or the untreated control. Approximately 2 weeks after the second application, dollar spot severity increased to an average of 15% in the untreated control plots and was considered severe...only plots receiving the fungicide Daconil had began to recover and were exhibiting good suppression of dollar spot." |
