| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to "assess the ability of various fungicides to arrest and limit the spread of anthracnose basal rot when applied after severe disease symptoms were observed." Explains that "disease pressure was rapid to develop throughout the area and curative fungicide treatments were initiated on 30 [June 2007]...Due to the severity of anthracnose basal rot on the putting green, no additional treatments were applied after 27 [July]." Reports that "over the course of the study, plots treated with Lynx (all treatments) and CL-EXP-18 had resulted in a reduction in anthracnose severity on 3 out of 4 rating dates when compared to the untreated control." States that "results of this study stress the importance of preventive fungicide applications and also the adjustment of correct management practices once symptoms develop." |
