| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to " elucidate the safety of Tenacity when applied to a mixed stand of turf at the time of seeding. A second objective was to assess the ability of single and sequential applications at varying rates to control crabgrass." Explains that "data collected included cover of desirable turfgrass species and percent plot area covered by crabgrass. In addition, quality data as well as a final visual estimation of turfgrass species within each plot was assessed." Reports that "the use of Tenacity and the experimental compounds evaluated in this study appear to be effective at both improving establishment of desired turfgrass when applied at seeding and also suppressing the growth and development and therefore competition from crabgrass." |
