| Abstract/Contents: | Presents results of a second-year study, conducted to "determine the quality responses of lawn turf to various sources of N [nitrogen]-based fertilizers, including Gro-Well products." Explains that "turf color quality was measured objectively with the Spectrum CM1000 Chlorophyll Meter, and the Spectrum TCM500 NDVI meter." Reports that "response across sampling dates gives an indication of the effects of dry conditions on treatment responses" and that "reflectance meter index readings after the first and before the second application were generally greater for the synthetic slow-release and soluble formulations than the organic fertilizers." Concludes that "overall, the Gro-Well products generally produced comparable turf color quality as that produced from synthetic slow-release or soluble formulations at any given N rate." |
