| Abstract/Contents: | Profiles several turf insecticides, including DDT and chlordane, methoxychlor and toxaphene, aldrin and dieldrin, BHC and lindane, allethrin, piperonylbutoxide and pyrenone, sabadilla, and dilan. Discusses pesticide development, formulations, and systemic poisons. Cautions that "all insecticides are poisonous, at least to insects. They may be poisonous to man and his pets. Some are very dangerous and may strike without too much warning. The user should therefore observe all warning and precautionary statement on the container. Read the label and follow all directions explicitly." |
