Abstract/Contents: | Compares organic and synthetic fertilizers, suggesting that "synthetic fertilizers don't improve soil health; they only provide nutrition for plants. Organic fertilizers, however, feed the plant and improve the soil at the same time." Explains that "organic fertilizers also promote the growth of short, strong cell walls leading to strong, thick blades of grass. Thicker blades have more surface area, which increases photosynthesis, and with more energy feeding the root system, the organically fertilized turf will have a stronger, deeper root mass." |
