| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to "determine the effectiveness of treatments against third instar black cutworm (BCW) larvae." Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "treatments plots were 5 x 6 ft [feet] arranged in a RCB [randomized complete block] design and replicated three times. A one ft barrier was established between each replicate and block." Lists treatments used in the study, including Provaunt 1.25SC, Talstar F, and Azatrol EC. Reports that "Provaunt 1.25 SC and Talstar F treatments provided highly significant suppression of BCW larvae. However Azatrol EC was not effective in reducing BCW." States that "no phytotoxicity was noted." |
