| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to compare the efficacy of DPX E2Y45, Provaunt, Merit, and Arena to the efficacy of Dylox in treating annual bluegrass weevil (ABW). Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "the grass was cut at a ht [height] of 0.625-inch on an as-needed basis and within 2 h [hours] of applications...All treatments were hand-irrigated with approximately 0.25-inch of water, within one h after application." Reports that "Arena 50WDG was the only treatment not significantly different than the untreated check. These data show that Provaunt 1.25EC, at 0.22 lb [pounds] (AI [active ingredient])/acre, provided good rescue control (87%), equivalent to the standard Dylox 80SP, at 8.17 lb (AI)/acre." States that "no phytotoxicity was observed." |
