| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to "determine the product effectiveness of Merit 0.5G to control a predominant northern masked chafer (NMC) white grub population on a turfgrass area maintained on a golf course driving range." Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "the turfgrass area consisted of a fine fescue (40%), perennial ryegrass (40%) and Kentucky bluegrass (20%)....Three one ft2 [square foot] soil samples were removed from each replicate...and the total no. [number] of NMC was recorded." Reports that "Merit provided excellent suppression of white grubs. No phytotoxicity was noted." |
