| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to determine the field efficacy of chlorantraniliprone "an experimental compound" in treating oriental beetle (OB) larvae. Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that the turf was "maintained at a ht [height] of 2 to 3.5 inches...Plots were irrigated with 0.2 inch of water within 1 h [hour] after application." Reports that "the grub population in the untreated check plots was slightly below the commonly accepted threshold population (10 to 15 larvae/ft2 [square foot]). All treatments reduced insect populations significantly, including Merit 75WP and Arena 50WDG, which were included as industry standards." |
