| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to determine the effectiveness of NemaGreen and SDS502 in white grub control. Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "NemaGreen, Heterorhabditis bacteriophora, and two formulations of Bacillus thuringensis were compared with a standard turfgrass insecticide (Dylox) for control of Southern masked chafer white grubs...Field conditions at the study site were: soil type, silty clay loam; soil organic matter, 3-5%; soil pH, 6-7; water pH, 7.0." Reports that "all treatments provided statistically significant reductions of WG [white grub] no. [number] when compared to the untreated check. However, SDS502 WP did not provide acceptable (>80%) white grub control. No phytotoxicity was observed." |
