| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a field trial conducted "to evaluate various rates and formulations of insecticide baits for the control of mole cricket nymphs and adults after damage became apparent." Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "plots 20 ft [feet] x 20 ft were established on a heavily infested driving range...Treatments were replicated four times and randomly assigned to the plots in a RCB [randomized complete block] design...The product used as the commercial standard was SA50 Mole Cricket Bait 5GB (carbaryl)." Reports that "results of evaluation of fresh surface damage at 4 DAT [days after treatment] indicated that all bait treatments had significantly less damage than the untreated check...However, all the DPX bait treatments had significantly less damage than the SA50 Mole Cricket Bait treatment. No phytotoxicity was observed at any date." |
