| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to "evaluate several soil-applied insecticides for control of white grubs." Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "treatments were applied to bermudagrass rough, mowed at 2 inches...Soil type was a loamy sand with a pH of 6.3 and 2.89% organic matter. Thatch accumulation (finger compressed) was 0.75 inch." Lists products tested in the study, including Talstar, Mach 2SC, Bay4525SC, Merit 2F, Meridian 25WG, Merit 5G, SPG04031 G, and an untreated check plot. Reports that "insect populations in the untreated check plots were below the threshold for bermudagrass. Grub populations were relatively light in no. [number]. No phytotoxicity was observed for any treatment." |
